About Me

My passion for art started at the age of 3 by drawing fish on my mothers white leather dinning chairs!! This made me naturaly gravitate towards studying Architecture in Sri Lanka and then in the UK. I have been working in an Architectural practice in London for the past 7 years, while persuing my Masters in Environmental Architecture.

Painting and Sketching have always been the centre of my life and for me the best mediums for expression. I had the most amazing art teacher when I was younger, Mrs. Latifa Ismail, who encouraged us all to find out own style and medium of expression. I look back on my time at art class as being one of the best moments of growing up, and now I take inspiration from my travels and the people I meet and try to transfer it to paper or canvas.

The commisions I undertake are focused on each individual and I try to capture the essense of who they are, and what is important to them.

I hope you enjoy the pieces I've shared online and that they evoke a pleasant feeling or memory in you. Please feel free to share your thoughts and comments, as they would be much appreciated.
